This dahl-icious meal takes less than half an hour to get on the table from when you pull that saucepan out of the cupboard! It's a nourishing and delightful dinner choice, and is just as tasty for lunch the next day...so what are you waiting for?
Red Lentil Dahl with rice

Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice (or your preferred rice)
- Samadhi Whole Foods Red Lentil Dahl (900g)
Optional additions:
- 300g tofu, cubed
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- Cherry tomatoes
- Seeds, dried fruit or nuts to garnish (we love raisins & cashew nuts!)
Method:
Step 1: Wash and prepare your rice either in a rice cooker, or as per the packet instructions
Step 2: Pop open your Red Lentil Dahl and pour the contents into a medium saucepan. Heat on a medium heat with the lid on, stirring often.
Step 3: While the rice and dahl are cooking, prepare any sides you would like to have with it. As recommended above, we pan fried some tofu, cherry tomatoes and zucchini, but feel free to replace these with any other veggies you like!
Step 4: Once the Red Lentil Dahl has heated completely, serve in a bowl with rice and your choice of sides. Garnish with nuts, seeds, dried fruit or herbs.
